In order to get the most out of the interactive whiteboard a specific software must be used. StarBoard Software Release 8.0 is the newest in a series of feature-rich releases for the StarBoard family of interactive devices.
StarBoard Software online video demonstration. This demo tours the great features of the StarBoard Presentation and collaboration software.
Uses light edition of StarBoard Software. (Full version available online 01/09 - Free Update)
FXDUO-77 Multi-touch capability for Mac is to be announced. Please call or visit the website for details on Macintosh compatibility.
Annotations. Annotations can be made over running video or animations with web pages or multimedia presentations.
Clipart and images. The software allows you to drag and drop clip art or images from the public domain into a presentation.
Search text using Google and Wikipedia. If you need to quickly jump to the Internet you can mke the transition right from the software.
Create more polygon shapes with Intelli-Pen. When you hand draw a circle or square the Intelli-Pen converts the hand drawn shape into a perfect polygon. Nice for math teachers. Other shapes include a hexagon, star etc...
All-in-One Launcher. From the main StarBoard menu or toolbar, you can open files, customize settings, and network other StarBoard systems. (In fact, you can link as many as 42 interactive systems together on a local or wide area network.)
Pen Types. Three different pen types can all be interchangeably used in giving a presentation: the standard annotation pen, the Intelli-pen which converts freehand geometric objects to drafted objects, and a new Laser-ink pen which provides temporary annotations and highlights with any ink type.
Electronic "ink" color palettes. There are six different electronic ink types: solid drawing and annotation inks, translucent highlighter inks, dramatic two-tone inks, shadowed solid colored inks, colorful 3D inks, and patterned painting and fill inks.
Multimedia presentations [Keynote]. StarBoard software has integrated PowerPoint or Keynote features to annotate presentations as you page through them.
Saved Data and Annotation Viewer. You can save your presentations for future use in any of several formats: HTML, JPEG, BMP or PNG. Each saved presentation is maintained in a page-by-page format, so you can use the Saved Data menu to jump to the page of our choice at any time, even during a presentation.
Deferred Handwriting Recognition. You can convert pen data to a text object.
Handwriting Recognition Easy Access. The Launcher toolbar contains an icon for one-click access to SmartWriter™ handwriting recognition software. Toggle SmartWriter ON or OFF, or select AUTO mode to automatically switch to handwriting recognition mode when a text input field is selected. SmartWriter works any software capable of text input, such as Microsoft Word or Excel.
