Please read with your child and have them read to you as much as possible. According to the Children's Reading Foundation, it is the most important 20 minutes of your day! Don't forget to record these minutes on the Star Reader Calendar. Homework is sent home most Mondays and due back by Friday. The homework that is sent home reinforces skills that have been taught in school.
FOLDERS
To maintain good communication we will check your child’s folder everyday for notes [please write notes on a full sheet of paper], changes in dismissal, and weekly homework assignments. Your child will be asked to turn in his/her folder to us upon arrival every day. We will also place any information and homework to go home in the folder. Again please place any and all information in their folder. We can not check backpacks.
