Who We Are

John McCallum has been working in Education for over ten years.  He is currently in his ninth year at Derry Village Elementary.  He earned his Masters from Suffolk University.
Jennifer Low is currently in her sixth year.  She earned her masters degree from the University of New Hampshire.  We currently share her with East Derry Elementary School.

Classroom Guidance

Several times through the school year the guidance counselors conduct lessons in the classroom.  Beginning in first grade we talk to students about Manners and Safety.  We then introduce them to the importance of friendship.  Bullying is a topic that we address throughout the elementary years.  Drug awareness and product safety are covered in length in 4th and 5th grade.

Groups and Individual

We also do groups from changing family to lunch bunch.  There are those occasional students that may need individual instruction.   Also there are many resources that are available to parents.  There is an interesting site that talks about assets in your child's life (  Parents checklist ).    Some community resource are the Upper Room and the Center for Life Management.
