The EDMES Extended Day Program

The Extended Day Program is a non-profit self supporting program that operates at East Derry Memorial Elementary School (EDMES). It is designed to provide supervision in a safe environment for children before and after school hours. Enrollment: Any child that attends EDMES may register for the program. Schedule: The Extended Day Program will be open on days that school is in session. The program will be closed for school vacations, holidays, and snow days.

Program Hours:

Morning Hours: 6:45AM - 8:25AM

Afternoon Hours: 2:45PM - 6:00PM

Parents must escort their children into the building! NO DROP OFF! Special circumstance: In the event of a delayed opening, the morning program will also be delayed according to the school delay. Example: One hour delay, the morning daycare will open at 7:45AM instead of 6:45AM. In the event of an early release due to bad weather, the Extended Day Program will NOT be open. Please have alternative plan and notify both the program and the school of the details of the plan and telephone numbers necessary.

Activities:

Morning: breakfast, quiet play, and games.

Afternoon: snack, outdoor and indoor play, movies, crafts, games, and quiet study.

Executive Board: The Executive Board is comprised of interested parents and teachers who volunteer their time to assist in the running of the program. The board meets on a regular basis.

If your are interested in enrolling your child in the Extended Day Program, please contact Kim Mullen at 421-0170.
