Community Care Committee news

"Show your HEART and help the HUNGRY"

February is a month of caring and we do this best at EDMES! The EDMES Community Care Committee is asking students to help fill up our Derry food pantries with nonperishable items. The food pantries were emptied over the holiday months, so your help is appreciated. Please bring in nonperishable items to the front lobby Feb 8th - Feb 19th. "February Reading Challenge - Movie Madness"


A new reading challenge has begun! For the next three weeks classes at each grade level will be competing against one another.The class with the greatest number of minutes spent reading will win a movie and popcorn afternoon. This reading award will be presented on the Friday before our February vacation. Please help your student support this reading effort and sign their reading log each evening.

PBIS Booster - Indoor Recess

It's that time of the year when we sometimes have such cold weather that we have INDOOR RECESS. EDD has decided to have a special February booster to motivate students and classes to follow the EDD way during indoor recess. Classes that work together to follow their game plan may earn baseball caps  now through February 17th. Three caps must be earned to gain a player for the class baseball diamond team. Students may earn baseballs every day at EDMES.
